In developing the concept for this 166-room hotel, we designed it as a metaphor for the crossing of the George Washington Bridge over the Hudson River from Manhattan. Warm, natural tones, flowing liquid lines and river stone motifs translate into a polished, inviting ambiance.
An ingenious use of porcelain panels gives a huge reception wall the look of solid stone without the impractical weight. Stylized images of the bridge reinforce the sense of place, while acoustic material in the high-ceilinged lobby creates an organic effect.
The hotel is conveniently located near Yankee Stadium, Meadowlands Sports Complex, Columbia University and other New York City attractions. Our interior designs heighten the sense of quality and well-being associated with top hotels while preserving the affordable functionality of the Hyatt Place brand.
